Magic Marker Monday — One Fish, Two Fish…

by Michelle

It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.”

Welcome to Magic Marker Monday! If you haven’t heard about Magic Marker Monday yet, click here and then hurry right back…

A while back we had recieved a sample tissue paper “stained glass” fishbowl craft kit along with an order from Oriental Trading Company. We thought this was a really fun craft!

I think we’ll experiment with some patterns of our own using construction paper, tissue paper squares, and acetate overhead projector sheets. All you need to stick your shapes together is a paintbrush and a white glue glaze made by thinning white glue with water.

I’m thinkin’ a butterfly would be pretty! The glue glaze painting and the placing of the tissue paper squares made for a great tactile craft for a kiddo.

Hope you had some crafty fun this past week!

Ahem! No you’re quite wrong there, fish are always the first choice! Although I think butterflies might work well.

Love those tissue paper crafts always so inviting.

Mr. Busypants would love a kit like this. Although I doubt he’d need one. I’m gonna show him the pic and see if he wants to re-create it on his own. He totally loves stuff like this.

Thanks for sharing.
