Blog Review

Hi de ho there!

“Maddy”
here, an interloper. I’ve nipped over from “home” to cast my evil eye over some blogs belonging to other mum’s of special needs children.

So hold on tight as there will be none of that fluffy wuffy American type of kindly review. [Oopsie I meant Canadian of course!] Now you shall all be subjected to the withering razor sharp rapier of Brits at their worst.

You have been warned!

The best way to start any post is with a jolly good giggle, so if you’d like to hear the squeal of laughter then this quickie video “clippet” should get you in the mood.

“Susie’s” introduction is as follows:-

‘Our life is nothing short of an adventure…
Wind in our hair and screams of delight but also unpredictable turns and unknown outcomes. We are a family of six; Dave, Susie, Nate, Jake, Sam, and Bella.’

Now this is a family that you might want to meet, “The Ferrick Family” where “Susie” blogs about her family and daily doings, “Our Family, Our Promise.”

It’s a big family, three thoroughly charming boys and a delightful little girl Bella, after a lengthy adoption process. On October 16, 2008, Bella was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. So now they battle the disease with 2 years and 3 months of treatment.

You could grab their button:-

to help them along or offer them your support and good wishes, but Susie has lots of other ideas which she lists:-
1. Prayer, please see “Pray with Us”
2. Meals
3. Car Pooling from school
4. Continued emails and blog posts with encouraging words. (This means more to us than you can possibly know.)
5. Loving on our boys, this will be a time of sacrifice for them.
6. Child Care
7. GIVE BLOOD! Where ever you live, please give blood in honor of Bella. Save a life!

Most of us could use a little support at different times of our lives even if we have a deep and sincere faith. So pop along there when you have a free mo and introduce yourself, tell “Susie” I invited you.

Cheers dears

p.s. if you would like me to whizz over to your place and submit yourself to similar annihilation, just let me know! [or probably more accurately, have a chat with “Tammy” from “Praying for Parker,” it’s her fault you know. She’s also head of the complaints department a whole new and unexpected detour.
