It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.”

Last week the 10-year-old was looking at pictures of Japanese paper lanterns at the library and decided she wanted to make one of her own when she got home.

She got out her markers and scissors and this is what she came up with all on her own.

Looks pretty cute hanging up under her loft bed – especially since she was able to talk me out of one of my battery operated tea lights to tape inside for effect!
