Songs of Love review

Songs of Love is a non-for-profit organization that makes free CDs for seriously ill children. As a music therapist and a caring individual who knows people benefiting from this kind of service, I have contacted them a few times. Though they often advertise that they make CDs for children who have cancer or other serious illness, they do make CDs for children with severe disabilities. I have requested CDs for a handful of children who have serious seizure disorders or respiratory challenges or multiple disabilities.

The CDs are very specially made. Many personalized CD companies simply plug a person’s name into a pre-made song. (and they charge money for this)

Songs of Love has a unique approach to a personalized CD. After filling out a simple questionaire, someone will probably call and ask more questions about the child. They have many different writers and styles of music to fit the child’s personality and requests.

Each song costs about $250, but is provided to the child for free! If you want to make a donation or participate in a fundraiser to help Songs of Love just click on one of the links in this blog. Text the word ‘song’ to 85944 to donate $5 to the foundation, or text the word ‘sing’ to 85944 to donate $10. The donation amount will appear on your cell phone bill.

Every song I have heard from Songs of Love has been the highest quality music and singing. You will not be disappointed if you request one for your child.

All opinions are 100% mine.
