It’s still okay to play. So join the fun!

I’ve always loved playing tag. As a camp counselor during college, I ran all over the playground with the kids in my groups. I’ve never really stopped playing like a kid. I jump on our trampoline, chase my dog around the front yard, throw pillows at my kids and tickle them when they’re being too serious. It’s part of what keeps me sane raising kids with special needs.

Imagine my joy, then, when a spunky, delightful friend “tagged” me on Friday! Gina, my tag buddy, is on Twitter and her site, Special Happens. When you leave here, stop by and tell her you’re glad she’s propagating joy and playfulness in the world.

Now for the fun part. Instead of having to chase you relentlessly on a playground, I get to share 7 things you may not know about me. Which might be hard since I regularly tell on myself on this blog! Like here and here.

Things just about nobody knows about me:

  1. I fall asleep best while watching a movie, preferably snuggling with my hubby. (Which Hubby obviously knows. I’ll try to do better from here out…)
  2. I hate unloading the dishwasher. Mostly because I resent the puddles of water that gather on the ends of cups. Why do people design cups to have concave bottoms, anyway?
  3. I like the feeling of sand between my toes better than soaking in a bubble bath. Unfortunately I don’t have a beach in my backyard, so I settle for the tub most times.
  4. The reason I haven’t lost the last 5 extra pounds is because I don’t want to. Ha. I said it. Please pass the chocolate.
  5. I sometimes like it when my kids argue with me. Not in the screaming, mood-meltdown kind of way, but the simple arguing ….because I enjoy the banter. I think they do too.
  6. One of my feet is a little bigger than the other one. Which means that at any given time, one of my feet is either losing circulation, or falling out of the shoe, depending on the pair. I think I’d make a good alternate-Cinderella character. (“Oh, this one doesn’t fit? I meant to give you this foot…”)
  7. I don’t like writing as much as I like public speaking. But I’m told that to speak more than just locally, one must write more. And so I kick off my one loose shoe in wild writer’s abandon and pour out my soul in cyberspace for the sake of making people think, laugh and get inspired!

Now for the REALLY fun part: Tag! You’re it
