Hug Therapy

Let me be honest. Recently tiredness, grumpiness and the forget-it-not-now-let-me-plop-on-the-sofa dumps have ruled my spirit. What can I say, some days you need a hug like a fish needs water. You feel as though you might collapse completely without one quiet moment wrapped in a gentle embrace of love. Then at an unexpected moment…in an unexpected way…it comes…

As my son, Wil, and I meandered around the yard talking about this and that, he paused and looked upward. I paused. He turned to me and said…

"Mom, you’re as beautiful as the sky" and he quietly resumed his stroll.

I felt my heart swell.

My lips were silent.

I began walking, caught up with Wil and filled my arms with hugging him.

And everything was all better.

What precious little moments have hugged you?

Please share in comments. Also, feel free to leave a link to one of your feel-good blog posts. There is no such thing as too much happiness or inspiration, and it will leave a sweet reserve for us to return to on days when things are not so feel-good.
