GFCF Party Mix

Remember eating Chex™ Party Mix as a kid? I do. It was a yummy concoction of cereal, nuts, pretzels, and bagel chips covered with a spicy-sweet topping that was addictive. This recipe can be halved or multiplied depending on how much you’d like to make at one time. Feel free to add your own spin on this recipe by adding things like dried fruit or pumpkin seeds.

Ingredients:
8 cups Gluten-Free Rice Chex™ Cereal
1 cup gluten-free pretzels (I used Glutino’s)
½ cup Mary’s Gone Crackers Twigs and Sticks (optional-use more pretzels or cereal if you like)
1 cup nuts of your choice (I used cashews and almonds)
6 Tbs. casein-free spread (I used Earth Balance)
2 Tbs. GF Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. onion powder
½ tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 250˚. In a medium bowl combine spread, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Place bowl in microwave and heat until melted.

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add melted “butter” mixture and mix until dry ingredients are coated with liquid. Place in a large baking sheet and bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes, until ingredients are toasty. Allow to cool completely before placing in airtight containers.
