For Tuesday…

One of the greatest, most wonderful, empowering things about blogging is learning that you’re not alone. That you don’t have to do this by yourself. That there is a whole community of people who genuinely care about what you’re going through…

The lovely Debi from Who Says 8 Is Enough? is hosting a very special blog party next week.

Why is it so special?

Well, here’s what Debi has to say:

“We are holding this blog party in honor of Tuesday Whitt, my friend Jess’ beautiful twin daughter who bravely fought and sadly lost her 8 month battle with stage 4 neuroblastoma in January of this year. We are doing this as a fundraiser to hopefully raise awareness about this awful disease and to raise money for the Tuesday Fiona Whitt Foundation, where all proceeds go towards pediatric cancer research.

Jess and I have talked quite a few times about neuroblastoma…. How is it that a cancer that is so rare, suddenly seems to be showing up everywhere we look? Is it because our eyes are now open to the reality, or is it because this cancer, this horrible, devastating cancer, is becoming less rare? Whatever the case may be, I hate neuroblastoma. Hate that it rips families apart. Hate that so many little ones are suffering. Hate that for one of the most deadly forms of cancer, that it is also the least funded of all cancers for research. Why? Shockingly, the answer is because not enough children get it. Not enough????? One child is too many!”

And in tears, I agree. One child is too many.

Debi has asked people to host a auction/giveaway/contest on their blog to help raise funds and awareness about neuroblastoma and I just couldn’t say no.

So in honor of the beautiful, precious Miss Tuesday, I will be joining in.

To participate in the giveaways, contests and auctions being held next week in Tuesday’s honor, simply click on the button below and donate $1 to the Tuesday Fiona Whitt Foundation. Then on May 5th through May 12th, go visit Debi’s place and leave a comment telling her you donated and start touring the blogs she will have listed to see all of the great things you can win or bid on.

If you want more information about how you can participate in Tuesday’s Blog Party, please stop by Debi’s place and read all about it.

Because honestly, one child is too many.
