A Sensory Delight ~ Special Exposure Wednesday

Welcome to Special Exposure Wednesday, where you have an open invitation to join the weekly photo sharing fun.

Sunday we attended an arts festival which included demonstrations from a variety of artists and many hands-on activities. Wil’s favorite experience was throwing a pot. It was a sensory delight for my child who loves to experience the world through touch, and I snapped this photo as the potter worked with him.

Wil has a very heavy-handed touch due to cerebral palsy, and I was anxious to see how this woman would deal with it. She was magical. She was relaxed, engaged him completely and gently guided his hands as together, they worked the clay.

I get the warm fuzzies when moments like these unfold happily for my child…don’t you?
