If you were to choose ONE WORD that would sum up your goals and the direction of your heart for 2009, what would that word be?
Daphne Rose Kingma expresses her thoughts on the power of just one word this way:
Language does have the power to change reality. Therefore, treat your words as the mighty instruments they are-to heal, to bring into being, to remove, as if by magic, the terrible violations of childhood, to nurture, to cherish, to bless, to forgive-to create from the whole cloth of your soul, true love.
In our family we’ve hung on dearly to: BELIEVE.
In fact, you’ll find this one word proclaiming it’s power in many places of my home.
It’s one word that my heart simply couldn’t possibly let go of.
But, if for 2009 I were to choose a companion word to join it, what would it be?
After trying out many words, savoring their potential, I’ve finally settled on Create
As in Create…a simpler home, more family nights, more memories and laughter, magic from the little things.
