Special Exposure Wednesday ~ Grant My Wish, Amy

Special Exposure Wednesday – Share the Photography Fun

Sunday, Wil was fortunate to be included among a group of local youth to meet and go on stage with Amy Grant. Amy was performing as headliner for a benefit concert to raise money for the building of a Miracle League field here in our city.

Amy is a delightful person. She took the time to chat with each of the kids, take photos with them and have them on stage for three song performances.

I had the opportunity to thank her personally and to hear her say (about Wil) “Oh, he is so cute!” Wil managed to capture more of Amy’s ear time than any other child there. And most of the photos I snapped of him with her are of the back or side of his head…he wouldn’t stop looking at her and talking to her. (I’ll share more later.)

This stage photo isn’t the best of Wil, but most of my shots include children for whom I do not have a release to post online…

Do you think Wil was happy? The young man with the gold medal from the 2008 Summer Paralympics is Lantz Lamback. I’ll tell you more about this remarkable young man next week. He’s a friend of Wil’s. Yeah, my kid gets around.

You know the drill…link up and show us your Special Exposure Wednesday photo.

Melody can be found at 5M4SN each week hosting Special Exposure Wednesday and sharing her love of photography the second and fourth Saturdays each month in her column, Photographing Your Children. You will also find her at Slurping Life sharing photos and a few words from her special life.
